W: "We had two very talented female writers on staff for season two of Paradise. How do you ensure you are incorporating the female perspective? It rarely happens but we can tell at our screenings if we’ve pushed something too far and need to pull it back." Naughty or shocking jokes always get the best reactions. We’re trying to make people laugh and laugh hard. How do you ensure you are pushing the envelope in terms of comedy and not just trying to offend everyone? W: "If they got rejected there’s no way we’re telling anyone about them! Ha!" What are some of the rejected ideas/gags? R: "We have many chances to tweak the episodes to a great spot." W: "Thanks! We have a table read and two screenings for each episode and a punch up based on the reaction from each one." What is the process for making sure that happens? In my opinion, every joke in the show lands perfectly. R: "Like most comedy writers, we draw inspiration from all sorts of places: funny life experiences, current events, social happenings, and Jack Daniels." What are some of the inspirations that help you while writing the show?

So, I had to know how do they make it happen! Well, TBH I did get to know how Waco and Roger make it happen, thanks to an error in Paradise PD review and some help from the show's supervising director Ashley Long. While some of its predecessors and contemporaries tend to lean too much on either side of the scale of relevance and craziness, Waco and Black somehow balances it. But on a deeper analysis, you'll start to notice that it is unlike any of them.
On the surface, Paradise PD does look like it is simply re-doing what other R-rated animated TV shows like South Park or Family Guy or Rick and Morty have done or are doing right now.
